This comic, and really all our comics are meant in jest, but this comic is a little bittersweet to me when I really think about it. My grandparents are getting older, on both sides of my family. For a while now I've prepared myself for their eventual decline and ultimately their death. It's an odd feeling but I know that the facts of their lives are unavoidable and while that should make me sad I can't help but think about things like this and laugh (sometimes at them) while they are here.

Having said that I have started to notice the changes, subtle though they are. It's like senility is a parasite feeding on their sanity bit by bit. Starting out infantile and feeble, continually growing until all you are able to interact with is this parasite that has eaten your kin. Humor like this will increase but as time goes on it will eventually cease to be funny and just make me sad. But for now I will enjoy it and if there is ever a cure for death we may never need these jokes again.

Today is the release day for Final Fantasy XIII. I will be picking this up at my lunch today after me and my pals from the office hit up a local burger joint, Kitoks. I'm looking forward to both most assuredly.

On a less sentimental, more boring note...

If you're in the forums, you may already know that my cat is a bitch who pees on computer monitors like a filthy whore. You know how those whores are... always peeing on computer monitors... right?

Also, when my "J" key broke on my previous keyboard, I replaced it with another of the same kind. Now the "S" key on that keyboard doesn't work. So I guess I'll have to go back to the other one because I'm pretty sure I write "s" more than "j."

Sometimes I really feel like God doesn't want me to do this comic strip.

Ah, well. Maybe if we keep making fun of the elderly He'll change His mind.
