We’ve been looking for something to do as a series that we could revisit from time to time and keep the story fresh and moving without it getting old. Welcome to The Dungeoneers! The series as it stands now won’t be overtly funny in the same way that some of our other strips are. We’re telling a story here. One that we both can identify with to some degree and one that can blossom into something more than what it seems on the surface. That sounded like serious business. The whole idea is over the top to begin with. It’s not like we’re trying to do something terribly serious. We’re not trying to gain acclaim with this. We just felt like it was time to shift gears a little with some of our story telling. To open up our repertoire to give you guys something different to read every now and then. I think the plan is to give you guys the first three or four parts up front and then revisit this scene every now and then. I know we’ve been lax this last month but don’t worry. I think that as we continue with this whole thing there are going to be patches here and there where we just have a lot going on. I think it’s encouraging that we’re still doing something though. Especially for us. I think in the past we would’ve just quit and moved on to something else to occupy our time.

I know we tend to lay out our plans for you whenever we have an idea to do something and when we don’t follow through with that it doesn’t mean we didn’t try. I think we get as frustrated with ourselves as you guys might with us, but trust me when I say that we’re trying our best to keep this going most of the time. As most of you know our audience really isn’t growing by leaps and bounds. If anything it’s dwindling as time goes on. I don’t think that matters to us but it does put a damper on our motivation levels sometimes. I think we still enjoy doing this and the strip gives us a reason to continue with the site and in our own way provides Jericho and I with some hope that eventually we’ll actually get this whole thing looking like we’ve always imagined it. So please don’t give up on us. We’ll keep making this thing as long as even one of you is reading it.

Now onto what I’m all about right now. Dragon Age is so good. It’s just another notch in Bioware’s bat of excellence……+1. Seriously, I might weep when Bioware puts out its first bad game. Which I’m not thinking that will happen for a very long time. Their next project, or at least the one I’m most interested in, is The Old Republic. Anyone not in the know should get there, because I will be playing this bastard on launch day. It’s a Star Wars MMORPG and it looks like it’s going to be excellent. I’d love for some of you to join me in playing it. These types of games are, after all, about social interactions while enjoying the game. In addition to that I’m hearing from my brother in law that LOTRO is moving to a free format up to a certain character level. I’ve played in the past but always found it difficult to get to a point where I had a group of people that I enjoyed playing with that was /my/ team. Not in the sense that I lead the group but that we worked together for the group. I would always play with people that were already burned out on the game because they had all reached that top level and were on their 4th and 5th play trough’s. So, if anyone is interested in that hit me up on the forums or on Facebook and we’ll work on getting a group ready for both of these adventures. In addition to that NCAA Football 11 will be dropping in mid-June and I will most likely be out of it for a good while. I lie, but I will be playing the shit out of that game.

In addition to that I will be attempting to put together my own system for a tabletop rpg. There have been a lot of inspirations going into making this thing but I’ve made some good headway on it the last couple of weeks and once I get some abilities for my classes down on paper it will be ready for some playtesting. I’m really looking forward to that. I hope it doesn’t fail miserably though…
